January update
Thank you for the money you sent to me for the fish farm project. This project is going to commence next week. I have already contacted experts in digging and stocking fish. They will come to my place on Thursday next week (28th January) to take measurements and start on the digging of the pond. I have an agriculture extension worker at home, ready to help us to run this programme. I am very happy for this new development. I learnt that they can make an underground water tank for us at school to harvest all the water from the main buildings. We have lots of things to do!
The primary seven results are now out. Our school performed well. We got one 1st grade, fifteen 2nd grades and one 3rd grade. No one got a 4th and none failed. Glory to our God. Thanks for the prayers and support. We intend to have a thanksgiving service and present leaving certificates to the children in front of parents and the government officials next Friday (29th January). We very much wanted to have lunch with our outgoing children, parents and well-wishers. We think this gathering will be an opportunity for us to educate the parents and guardians of our children and also to encourage them to push them in secondary schools so that our effort does not die there. In this group, we have two children who have been depending entirely on Rock of Joy. I pray that you can get us some people who can continue giving them support for their secondary education.
Our school hall is now completely roofed with iron sheets. However, we still need to complete plastering, concrete the floor and install windows and glass doors. In future we shall also look for funds to put in furniture and solar lights. I pray that you stand with us to complete this work well.
