FRIDAY 5th AUGUST

Alastair (team 3): We had a good journey back to Backpackers after a great week in Masaka. This morning we played staff vs. pupils football, planted trees and enjoyed a goodbye show before leaving. Tonight we are spending our final night in Uganda at Mama Mia's pizza restaurant. Tomorrow it's our last debrief before heading to the airport. See you soon. Team 3

Joe (team 2): Hi. We are having our last lunch in lungujja. Food has been fab and we may have gained weight.But if any parents read this, this is our requests for food on return. Lucy- roast chicken with bread sauce, bex- roast lamb with mint sauce and leeks and crumble and custard, lucie- ceasar salad with chicken and bacon, ed- anything, calum- burger, ceasar salad and doughnuts, sophie c- something yummy maybe sticky toffee pud please, sophie s- something nice salady things or chicken soup please! THURSDAY 4th AUGUST

Alastair (team 3): It's 5am & i've just been woken by the school bell. For top juniors, preparing for exams, school starts at 5.30am & continues until 8.45pm. Yesterday we helped clear the water hole which is being used until the new water tank is ready. We helped carry jerricans of water back to the school. It's hot, hard work but pupils must do it twice a day. Tonight is our last night & Fred has invited us to watch the sun set & enjoy a camp fire under the stars. Love T3



WEDNESDAY 3rd AUGUST

Christine (team 1): Hi. team 1 is having a wonderful time at antioch. All well and much enjoying lessons, practical work and holiday clubs. Visiting local homes has made us very aware of how much we take for granted. God is doing lots in us! Lovely staff and pupils here and great to feel so much a part of it all. Love team 1 x

Steph (team 2): Hi from team two. We are being well looked after by Florence and Joannie in pastor stephen's home. Baby class are a little challenging so we are all taking it in turns to teach them! Had community tour and met a family of 9 living in a tiny mud house and three boys mostly looking after themselves with the eldest being 11. We are all leading adult house group tonight and youth group tomorrow after two full days of teaching so pray for energy for the group. But tonight is sweetie wednesday so everyone is looking forward to that and we have had many lovely letters from all the children. See you all soon. Steph and team 2.


MONDAY 1st AUGUST

Alastair (team 3, masaka): We had a great journey, stopping briefly at the Equator line to have our photos taken. We arrived at school at 1pm to be greeted by a crowd of waving children. We are staying in the smartest store house we've ever seen. It is massive with 3 rooms, lino floors, beds, windows & electric lights! We had a warm welcome by Fred & had a tasty meal before holiday club. We've also tried Jackfruit for the first time and plan to visit the boarders tonight before bed. Tomorrow we visit Omega school for the first time and visit Fred's farm. Love to all

Christine (team 1, Antioch): Hi. Team 1 arrived safely at Antioch. Delightful welcome from all! Led PE lesson and been on tour visiting families and handing out gifts - all very poor homes. Looking forward to a good week. Thanks for prayers. Love from all x

Steph (team 2, Lungujja): Hi. Team 2 have arrived at our last destination! Please pray for us to be just as enthusiastic for our last week as our first. Our rooms are lovely and we are being well looked after. The boys have manned up and taken the rat room. One ran out in the room last week. Also we thought is unfair to inflict the girls' screams on everyone! Off to be fed again! Steph and team two.

Alastair (Team 1): Today we are leacing Backpackers and travelling to Masaka with our new team mate Stephen Blair, who is joining us for the final week now that the adult medical team have gone home. The journey takes approx 3.5 hours on well tarmacked roads (recently upgraded). we will stop at the equator for photos and should arrive at Fred's in time for lunch. Love from team 3
