Greetings from Fred
Praise be to the Name of the living God. Iam always very happy to hear from you. Thank you for the great work you are doing. I am sorry for taking this long without communicating. For i was tied with work in the village.
Generally the school is running well.We are busy with preparations for the p7 leaving examinations. Children will sit their exams from a different school. We have got a school administrative secretary to help Florence with the day today running of the school.Candidates farewell service will take place tomorrow at mid day. We have invited their parents to wish them success.
We thank you for the money you sent for the beds and for grading the play ground. The play ground is finally levelled. we are remaining with a small part to start planting grass. We bought the beds for the school and some more matresses and the sheets for the children. This has made a very big difference in the lives of those children. The challenge has been with their meals because there is femine in the community.
Concerning the vocational arrangements, we are going to start with 2 tailoring machines, teaching modern organic farming , weaving and hand craft. We are interested also in teaching our children some basic computer science. What we want is a secure room where we can place some computers and a generator. I think the assembly hall will solve this since it will have a special room on it.
We thank God for the provision of the funds for building the examination and assembly hall. This has come at the right time . I had already organised the building team and some bricks. The earlier we start the better because this will give me the opportunity for seeking for registration and examination centre at the beginning of the year. Inspection will be done in January next year.If money is available we can begin right away since we do not have a lot of rain in our area. I am glad to hear that we have also secure some money for the fish pond
The Church is getting stronger every new day.We have got a church choir now. We have a series of lesson s we teach the believers every week. We have started praying for music instruments and a public address system . This includes a Piano and a generator. Having a separate shelter for the church is another important issue. We do not want to mix church programs with school activities. However, being a xtian school we expect the church to give spiritual support to those children.
Thank you for the long awaited website. I hope this will increase the awareness and mobilisation and information sharing. Thanks alot.
