YF Uganda Update
The young people from YF and their leaders going to Uganda in July are busy preparing for their 3 week mission trip.
Monthly training is going well as we prepare to run holiday clubs, teach in class, take part in practical work, run youth groups and lead Sunday schools.
Some young people have already reached or exceeded their target for fundraising the £1200 required. Others have a way to go. There has been a wonderful sense of team work and mutual support across the group. Our ‘Mr and Mrs’ fundraising event on the 12th February is followed by a Fashion Show on March 26th. Please support this event in March or consider making a donation to ‘YF Uganda’.
A medical team, under the leadership of John and Myra Sloan has also commenced their training. This team includes doctors, nurse, dentist and others.
We very much appreciate your support for the young people as they prepare. Leaflets giving details of the teams and the activities will be available soon so that people can pray for the group both before and during the mission. We particularly want prayer for the Ugandan communities we will visit and for the safety and good health of the young people, leaders and medical team.
