Uganda Bound

Posted by: phil

A team of 12 adults left Heswall on 10th February and will spend two weeks in the country visiting Antioch and Rock of Joy in Masaka, as well as a brief visit to our friends at Rock of Joy in Lungujja.

The team is made up of teachers, children's club leaders and a small community team who will help with essential repairs and general improvements at the schools. Rev Dr Jonathan Gibbs is also part of the team and will be preaching (at length!) to numerous audiences during the visit.

Children and teachers from St Peter's school braved the freezing conditions to give the team a fantastic send off. The school raised a considerable amount of money towards equipment for Uganda and pupils also sent numerous drawings and letters especially for the children in the schools being visited.

Do keep checking our blog page for regular updates about the trip.
