Greetings from Steph and team 2.
We are at the end of our week in Lugala and the end of our time in Uganda. This morning we had a meeting with parents to tell them about the projects and over 80 turned up for the meeting. They were really interested in the solar cookers we had made and didn't quite believe us when we shared we had actually cooked rice in them! They also really wanted to know about the sanitary pads we had been making to know how they can make them themselves. It really shows that period poverty affects the whole community of women. We wish we had done the meeting in the first week and had a sewing class with the mums; maybe next time. We ordered more nets, so overall 350 have been given out in Lugala. The team have been fantastic, scaling the triple decker bunks!
