Team 2 - Don't forget the scissors!

Saturday 22nd July

Good morning from team 2. We arrived back safely from Masaka last night. We had a great week in rural Uganda. The team have really got into the swing of things now with some solo teaching going on! We were split between the two schools and so needed to be organised and not forget what we needed when leaving Lady Grace, for example the scissors!

We had to hang nets in a traditional mud house, so i suggested that we didn't use a hammer and nails for fear of bringing the house down! The team also met the pigs and goats that were eaten at the end of the week in a celebration with the teachers. We listened to the boarders night-time worship with the drums and were wowed with their praising, as we looked up at the millions of stars in the sky (as there is no pollution).

Again we have been well fed! We stopped at the equator on our journey back - you are all getting some nice presents, even the boys are thinking what their mums would like. So today we were up at 5:30am to leave at 6:15am for white water rafting. It was like a bad version of pitch perfect riff offs for the whole journey, but now everyone has gone off on the rafts and I am all by myself with a cup of tea with real milk...peace at last!
